It’s time for Bonus Challenge #4… this one is pretty easy here… you will earn 60 points, and this is MANDATORY… it will be due Midnight Pacific Time–SUNDAY, April 26nd, 2009.

Here’s our 5th and final main challenge…you’ve reached that finish line!  You’ll have until Sunday, Midnight, Pacific Time, April 26th to complete this challenge.

What To Do:  Create your own small “kit”, choosing a 4-6 patterned papers, trims, embellishments, an alphabet, etc.  Take photos of the “kit”, then make 2 projects made with the kit!  (i.e. a layout and a card/tag, a layout and a simple altered item, or 2 layouts, etc).

1. Post the photos of the kit and 2 projects in our Design Star gallery and link it back to this blog post in the comments section.

2. Entries must be posted and linked by Midnight Pacific Time–SUNDAY, April 26nd, 2009.

3. Your entry will be judged on the following:

A. Meets the Requirements of the challenge

D. Kit quality/coordination
E. Ability to really showcase your kit  with your projects!

Challenge details:  This “kit” should be a small-sized kit, maybe about HALF the product of a normal monthly kit.

Kit must contain cardstock, patterned paper, embellishments, and an alphabet.

Please do not feel you need to BUY new product for this kit!  Feel free to coordinate and get creative with what you’ve got… Bring out that old stuff, and make it shine!

Projects made with this kit should use ONLY kit product you’ve selected, except for basic tools such as punches, ink, etc.

What we’re looking for here is your “eye” for what would go together well in a kit, and your ability to limit yourself to these coordinating items as well as really show the products off!  Make us want to BUY the kit and get creating too!

Here’s our 4th challenge, only ONE more to go!  You’ll have until Tuesday, midnight PST, April 21 to complete this challenge.

What To Do:  Create a MULTI-PHOTO layout showcasing two original/innovative techniques.  Explain BOTH techniques, and create a step-by-step “tutorial” of ONE of the techniques in the gallery comments.

We’re already at our THIRD challenge, only two more to go!  These next two rounds are faster…only 5 days to complete this challenge!

What To Do:  Create an eco-friendly layout showcasing at least TWO  “green” tips, techniques, and/or products.  Get creative and really WOW us with your ability to repurpose, recycle, reuse,  and reinvent!

2. In the gallery description, list your two eco-conscious tips, products, or techniques…what makes your layout “green”?

3. Entries must be posted and linked by Midnight Pacific Time–TUESDAY, April 14nd, 2009.

Ok, everyone, here is the SECOND official DT bonus challenge, MANDATORY for all the Design Team Hopefuls!

This will be due the same time as the Manufacturer Challenge, Thursday night, April 9th, at Midnight PST, and will be worth up to 120 points (just-for-fun players will receive an extra ticket in the prize drawing!)

One responsibility of the Urban Anthology DT is to design a sketch each month.  So, your bonus challenge is to create a new, original sketch for a 12×12 layout.  Enter by posting your creation in the gallery, and commenting to this blog post with a link by Thursday night!

This bonus challenge tests your sketch skills…it can be hand-drawn and photographed or scanned, or of course designed in a program like PS or Elements, etc (for sketch types and examples, see the sketches in our “Design Team Sketch” gallery at UA).

Ok, moving right along to our SECOND challenge!

What To Do:  Create a layout on any topic, showcasing THREE of your favorite manufacturers.   Do something fun and unique with products from three of your favorite companies! (photos, title, and journaling must be present).

1. Post the layout in our Design Star gallery and link it back to this blog post in the comments section.

2. In the gallery description, list the 3 manufacturers you showcased, and tell us what you did to highlight each company’s product on your layout.

3. Entries must be posted and linked by Midnight Pacific Time–Thursday, April 9nd, 2009.

4. Your entry will be judged on the following:

A. Meets the Requirements of the challenge
B. Innovation & Originality
C. Overall Design Principles
D. Utilized a technique(s) beyond the basics
E. Clear and unique representation of each manufacturer.

Bring on the Style, ladies!!!

Ok, everyone, here is the first official DT bonus challenge, MANDATORY for all the Design Team Hopefuls!

This will be due Saturday night at Midnight PST, and will be worth up to 120 points (just-for-fun players will receive an extra ticket in the prize drawing!)

Create a card, tag, or small altered item of your choice…this project must include FABRIC and STAMPING of some sort.  Enter by posting your creation in the gallery, and commenting to this blog post with a link by Saturday night!

This bonus challenge is all about quick on-the-spot fun & creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, and letting loose, so have a ball and show us what you’ve got!
