Welcome to Urban Anthology’s 4-week challenge competition, in search of our next Design Stars!
There are two ways to play:
1) You want to be Urban Anthology’s next Design stars…and be a part of our Design team? Join us in our 1st challenge, to be posted shortly. Complete the challenge and submit it according to the directions. The current Urban Anthology design team will then choose the winners to move on to the next round of the competition. 2) You want to play along for fun? Each week join us for our challenges, submit your work according the rules and be entered to win a weekly prize. Complete ALL the challenges, and you will be entered to win a grand prize basket of goodies!
Rules and Specifics of Entry:
Rules for both Challenges:
a. Entries must be newly created and exclusive to this contest. One entry per challenge please.
b. Entry must be uploaded to the correct gallery as well as linked in the blog comments pertaining to that challenge.
c. Only U.S. entrants 18 and older will be considered for a DT position at this time. All others are welcome to join in the challenges for prizes.
d. Each round, one prize will be given in a random drawing of qualified entries. A grand prize will be drawn from the pool of people who have submitted to ALL rounds at the end of the competition. (International players will be responsible for shipping over $5, or can take a gift card in lieu of a physical prize)
Rules for the Design Star (Design Team Challenge) only:
a. Only U.S. entrants 18 and older will be considered for a DT position at this time.
b. Design star entrants will earn points with each challenge.
i. Points will be assigned on a 10 point scale for each category by each of the current design team members, the design team leader, and the owner of the site.
Categories:
A. Meets the Requirements of the challenge
B. Innovation & Originality
C. Overall Design Principles
D. Utilized a technique(s) beyond the basics
E. Varies by Challenge, and will be posted with each challenge.
ii. Each challenge is worth up to 300 Points each, bonus challenges will only be rated on parts A & B, and will be worth up to 120 points each
iii. Participation in each challenge and bonus challenge is required.
c. An elimination will occur after the 3rd Challenge Round. The bottom half of the entrants will be eliminated from the Design Star Challenge.
i. Eliminated entrants are welcome and encouraged to continue with the challenges for great chances at fabulous prizes!
d. The top 2 point earners will be selected for the design team, and 1 wild card will be chosen from all entrants.
e. Winners will be notified by April 30th, 2009. The term will be 6 months and will start May 1, 2009, through October 31, 2009.
