Gradation of Color Challenge Due December 1st

I love to see colors gradually changing in hues, tones, and shades. I think it is so beautiful!  Just like the colors of the landscape gradually fade away as we head towards winter, I want to see on a layout some gradation of color.

Delight by Carole StirratThe details:

Create a 1 or a 2 page layout

You may use any monochromatic color combination with patterned paper or solid cardstock.

Your color gradation may be the main focus or just an accent.

A prize will be given to one random entry, International applicants will receive a gift certificate to the store.

Recycle Challenge

I am astonished by how much recylcing we put to the curb each week.  The recyling bin can be a goldmine for some good scrappy goodness!  I had a box of books that I was going to take to Goodwill, but I decided to rip out some pages in one of the books and use it on a page!

I ripped up the pages into strips and I used some fabric stiffener and water mixture to soak the papers.  Then I arranged the strips on a piece of waxed paper and let it dry.  Some more tearing and a few spritzes of glimmer mist and I have a unique background!

For this weeks challenge, I want you to use something with print on it from your recycle bin….newspapers, magazines, cardboard, even empty food packaging.  You can use the item in any way you want: create some papers or embellishments or a title.

Layout entries for this challenge must be uploaded to the Urban Anthology Gallery by Tuesday, November 24, 2009, to be eligible for the prize drawing.  Be sure to link back to this post once you have completed the challenge.
